Black-capped Pygmy-Tyrants – 27/11/2019

Black-capped Pygmy-Tyrants have been recorded a few times recently on Pipeline Road and this morning we found the site where they are building a nest.  This tiny flycatcher – 6.5 cm long and weighing just over 5 g – is the smallest songbird in Central America and amongst the smallest in the world.
