Cocoi Heron in Gamboa

A vagrant Cocoi Heron has been spotted on the Ammo Dump ponds in Gamboa in the last few days close to the Smithsonian Dock.  This species normally resides in Eastern Panama, with this individual likely to be passing through.  Cocoi Herons are far more common across South America, where they are the largest of the resident herons.
