Lots of activity at the lake today – 31/07/16

Fledging Green Heron and Black-bellied Whistling-Duck recorded on the lake this morning, with a family of Gray-necked Wood-Rail seen out foraging on adjacent grassland.  Also a rare glimpse (and record shot) of the White-throated Crake which frequent the reed-beds here – always heard but seldom seen.
